My 12th wedding anniversary was this past weekend and I just thought I would post a little something about marriage.  Its such an amazing gift to find the one true love and make the HUGE decision to spend the rest of your life with someone.  I did that 12 years ago after realizing that the boy in 8th grade who chased me around everywhere was the most incredible human being i had ever known and AMAZINGLY he was (is) THE ONE!  LIfe, love and marriage can pose a lot of challenges, but getting thru the drama and looking at your hearts investment and sacrafices into one another is worth working on daily.  After living in San Francisco, New York, Boston and Detroit, 3 incredibly gorgeous children, many sleepless nights changing diapers, 3 houses, lots of tears and difficult days and months, amazing blessed days filled with joy and laughter…I continue to know that the person I married 12 years ago is still the most amazing human being I have ever known and I’m so thrilled to have shared so many years with him.   Happy Anniversary Woody!  I can’t wait to share this journey with you for always!

US FEBRUARY 1996 SAN FRANCISCO!

Well wedding season is in full swing, so we have alot of fun things to share with all of you! I shot 2 FABULOUS weddings this weekend and will have blog posts about them later this week. A new custom blog is in the works, hoping to launch in late July, it will feature HUGE photos and a gorgeous new look! And since I didn’t get to posting a Kauai travel post, I did want to mention that if you are looking for an incredible travel destination or honeymoon spot, it is absolutely breathtaking! I would like to reccommend a place to stay. My husband and I rented in Hanalei on the North Shore an incredible house from the Hanalei Surfboard House. The owner, Mr. Simon Potts is a former record company executive from England and his taste for retro island is impeccable! All the comforts of home and not in a stuffy hotel room, who knows you may run into someone famous. Tell him I sent you or that you saw it mentioned on my blog and be sure to inquire about the “Love Shack”, it rocks! Stainless appliances, HUGE shower, comfy mattress, Killer flat screen, a crazy cool CD and DVD collection.

I will leave you with a shot from the interior of the “Love Shack” and one of my faves from the first wedding of the season with Kevin and Charlyn! Check back soon for more!

So I don’t often share images of my personal life and I thought “why not?” I guess I get to know alot about my clients and they don’t often get to know about me, so thought I’d share a fun day we had this weekend! I have 3 kids and my baby Julian James turned 4 this past weekend. He is the most precious boy and is OBSESSED with trains! He has been since he was 1 year old. So we decided to themeout the party this year and go all aboard. This birthday was a big deal because according to our 11 and 8 year old when you turn the age of your birthdate this is commonly referred to as your GOLDEN birthday. I had never heard of it. So we wrapped the presents in golden paper.

Then we went to ride the REAL Thomas the Tank Engine (big with the under 6 circuit) at Greenfield Village. He was speechless! He couldn’t contain the emotion!

Then we headed home to hang with friends and family, have yummy THOMAS Baskin and Robbins Mint Chocolate Chip cake and then for the biggest suprise of all, our own personal train arrived at our curbside and took us ALL on rides around the block for the afternoon. We finished the day making track designs with all the NEW stuff that Jules got for presents. Thank you to everyone who was there and helped with all the fun chaos. We love you all!

Slideshow of our day, with a little diddy that Julian recorded recently with the help of Daddy and Garageband! Click here to see and HEAR it!

So I never did a post about our FABULOUS trip to Kauai to shoot John and Kathleens wedding, and I’ve been hearing from some of you that you want to see travel pix and find out info on where to stay because you are going on your honeymoon there…..well travel post and info that you might find helpful when planning your trip is coming soon!!! For now I’ll leave you with a slideshow from J + Ks wedding. Enjoy.

you lose your glasses and you can’t find them anywhere? I shot a wedding recently at The Gem and put my glasses down on this lovely little sofa. I am thrilled to announce that the bartender FOUND them, I have NO idea how. Whoo Hoo!

Ok, so surreal moment last night while watching the ever ADDICTIVE season finale of Project Runway….after cutting to commercial before announcing the winner they cut to the NEW iPOD TOUCH commercial featuring, who else, BRENDAN BENSON. Brendan is a friend from High School and my husband (the amazingly talented Woody Saunders) played drums and sang backup on his 1996 Debut album One Mississippi. The song featured in the commercial is WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR from the album ALTERNATIVE TO LOVE. Just crazy when someone you know is making cash for (and from) APPLE! That is so FIERCE!!!! (disclaimer: the fierce statement may only be understood by Project Runway watchers)

See it here….
